01 · Materials & sustainability

What materials do you work with? Are they sustainable?

I work with reclaimed silver, brass, and gold, as well as eco-resin, salvaged wood, and ceramic. Every material is carefully chosen with environmental impact in mind. All my packaging is eco-friendly — recycled or compostable — because the details matter too.

Why are there no gold pieces in the online store?

I'd love to offer them, but Mexican postal regulations do not allow shipping gold — domestically or internationally. Gold pieces are available exclusively as custom orders with direct pickup from the studio. If you're interested, write to me and we can chat about it.

Why is each piece slightly different?

Because every piece is made entirely by hand, one at a time. Slight variations in texture, shape, or size are a natural part of the handmade process — they're what makes your piece truly unique and unrepeatable. It's the charm of wabi-sabi: the beauty of handcrafted imperfection.

02 · Sizing

How do I find my ring size?

I work with US sizes. You'll find a step-by-step guide on my blog to measure yourself from home with ease. Two useful tips:

  • Wide or stacking rings: I recommend ordering 0.5 sizes larger than usual.
  • Open rings: By design, they fit slightly loose — this is completely normal and part of their aesthetic.

Can I exchange my ring if it doesn't fit?

Yes. Collection rings can be exchanged for a different size within the first 5 calendar days of receiving them, as long as they are unworn and in their original packaging. See my Purchase Policies for full details.

Do bracelets and bangles come in different sizes?

The measurements of each piece are specified in its description. If you're unsure whether a size is right for you, write to me before purchasing and I'll be happy to guide you.

03 · Orders & production

Who makes the jewelry?

I do! Every piece is made entirely by hand by me. Pieces that require lost-wax casting or highly specialized settings are made in collaboration with a trusted workshop under fair trade principles. In all cases, the design, supervision, and finishing are mine.

Do you make custom designs?

Yes, with pleasure — though always within my own artistic language. I don't replicate designs from other brands or artists. I also offer custom hand-stamped pieces for an additional cost.

Why don't you accept cancellations?

Because each order begins production the moment it's confirmed, with materials and time invested exclusively for you. Once confirmed, cancellations are not possible. Thank you for your understanding — it's part of what makes each piece so special!

Can I place a special order as a gift?

Absolutely! Write to me and we can chat — I can guide you on delivery times, packaging options, and designs that might be perfect for that special person.

04 · Shipping

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to Mexico, all of the American continent, non-EU Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Palestine. Some countries have special restrictions:

  • European Union: We are currently not shipping to EU countries due to complex import regulations (GPSR/REP).
  • United States: Shipments are on pause until further notice due to recent changes in import regulations (elimination of the de minimis threshold).
  • Israel: We do not ship for ethical reasons.

How do you ensure my shipment is safe?

With 18 years of experience shipping jewelry — from my Etsy shop (since 2008) and 7 years on my own platform — we have a record of zero lost packages. Only minor customs delays, which we always handle with full support.

  • We never use regular untracked mail. All shipments are fully trackable.
  • Domestic: Private courier with tracking number.
  • International: Private courier or registered mail with tracking and signature on delivery.
  • Mexico City & Metro Area: Personal delivery coordinated with you.
  • Extra security: You can opt for insured courier — DHL, FedEx, or Estafeta.

Is the packaging gift-ready?

Yes, always! Every piece arrives ready to gift, wrapped in recycled and eco-friendly materials, with reusable protection and a card that reads "from me to you". If you'd like to add a personal message, just let me know when placing your order.

05 · Payments & pricing

How can I pay?

We accept PayPal, Mercado Pago, Dikua gift cards, and other payment methods available at checkout.

Do you offer installment payments?

Yes, we offer 3 interest-free monthly installments (3 MSI) for eligible payment methods.

Why are the prices different on Etsy?

Each platform has different cost structures — Etsy charges commissions in USD. My final earnings are the same in both places. Buying directly here is a more direct way to support my work.

Will my international order have additional customs charges?

Customs duties are the responsibility of the destination country and the buyer. I'm not able to calculate or pre-pay them (DDP), so any applicable charges will be collected upon delivery.

Good news: Most of my designs qualify to enter the US and Canada duty-free under USMCA/T-MEC, as they are made in Mexico with local or North American materials. However, the final decision always rests with the destination country's customs authority.

06 · Policies & warranty

Do the pieces come with a warranty?

Yes, all Dikua pieces include a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. If something isn't right, I'll take care of it and return your piece in perfect condition.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

Write to me at [email protected] within 72 hours of receiving your order, with clear photos of the product and packaging. Manufacturing defects are covered — I'll be with you every step of the way.

Do you accept returns?

Returns apply only in cases of verifiable manufacturing defects, and not to custom or made-to-order pieces. Instead of a monetary refund, a store credit for the full purchase value is issued. See my Purchase Policies for full details.

How do I care for my pieces so they last longer?

I have a care guide with specific tips for each type of piece and material. I highly recommend it — small habits make a big difference!

Can I send my piece in for maintenance even if it's not broken?
