To keep your silver jewelry in great condition:
Avoid wearing it while using chemicals like bleach, detergent, soap, or shampoo.
Don’t wear it in pools or showers.
Never spray perfume directly on it—it can stain or dull the finish.
My silver pieces are finished in brushed matte or oxidized silver.
Important: Never clean oxidized (blackened) silver. Cleaning it will remove its dark finish.
For matte-finished silver, prevent tarnish by storing your jewelry in an airtight container—ideally in its original pouch or a sealed plastic bag.
If your piece is plain silver (not combined with resin or other materials) and has oxidized:
Fill an aluminum pot with water and bring it to a low boil.
Add a small spoonful of baking soda.
Let the jewelry boil for 2–3 minutes.
If tarnish remains, make a paste with baking soda and lime juice, rub it gently, and wipe clean with a soft cloth.
To restore a matte finish, gently rub with a new, unused green Scotch-Brite pad reserved only for jewelry (never reuse kitchen sponges). Avoid water when using this method. Always be gentle to prevent scratches.
⚠️ Caution: Never scrub non-metal parts—cover them with tape first. Keep all jewelry away from heat or empty pots to avoid accidents or damage.
Oxidized silver has a special dark patina that fades naturally with time.
Never clean or scrub blackened pieces.
Store them dry, away from metal containers or chalk.
Avoid contact with aluminum and galvanized metals.
To maintain the finish, gently rub with a dry, soft cloth.
When the patina fades over time (which varies depending on skin pH and use), I can reapply it for you—just note that shipping and maintenance fees may apply.
Important: Allergies
Some people may react to certain patinas or metal finishes. If your skin is sensitive, let me know before purchase.
I do not ship solid gold pieces internationally due to postal restrictions. Gold-toned items in my shop are listed as gold vermeil, which means they’re made of sterling silver or brass, plated with 10k or higher gold.
To care for gold vermeil:
Keep away from perfumes, chemicals, pools, and showers.
Store separately in a sealed pouch or original packaging.
Clean gently with a soft flannel cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners.
Gold vermeil is a surface treatment and will wear off over time. With proper care, the finish can last 1–2 years. When needed, I can replate your piece (shipping and maintenance fees apply).
Gold Karat Reference:
24K = 100% pure gold
18K = 75%
14K = 58%
10K = 42%
9K = 37%
Resin is strong but not unbreakable.
Avoid dropping, striking, or exposing it to heat or direct sunlight.
Do not wear while using bleach, detergent, or shampoo.
Never spray perfume directly on it.
⚠️ Extremely Important: Resin is flammable—keep it away from fire or high heat.
To clean:
Use a soft cloth or flannel. For matte resin, a tiny drop of baby oil on a cloth can restore its look. Be careful—residue can stain fabrics.
Always store resin jewelry separately to avoid scratches.
Color patinas are beautiful, but they’re delicate:
Avoid scratches, impacts, or contact with chemicals.
These finishes may fade over time, but can often be restored.
