Brass

Rings made using the lost-wax casting technique from an original piece I forged, soldered, and filed from round wire and reclaimed sterling silver sheet. Pieces are filed and sanded by hand, with a matte brushed or oxidized finish.

I work with great care and love, but I appreciate the imperfections of handmade items, as they give each piece its unique character and beauty.

I do not recommend using brass rings with oxidized (black) pieces, as the oxide from the oxidizing process can react chemically with the brass and cause staining on the black piece.

While most people can wear brass jewelry without any issues, the alkalinity of their pH or certain sensitive skin types may experience discoloration. This does not indicate any damage to your skin.

The ring is made of round wire approximately 2 mm thick.

Please note that if you plan to wear more than two rings stacked together, it is recommended to choose a size half a size larger than your usual size for comfort. I do not recommend wearing more than six rings together, as they could be uncomfortable.

The weight will depend on the size. For reference, a size 5 ring weighs approximately 1 gram, or about 0.002 pounds.
